PocketOnion

PocketOnion is the handheld module of Onion and is available in two versions.

Both versions of PocketOnion use the same core database engine as other Onion modules and is interoperable with those modules so future-proofing is guaranteed.

PocketOnion RealTime

PocketOnion RealTime is the online version of PocketOnion and is suitable for WindowsCE handheld devices with wireless connections.

It is a WindowsCE browser based application and so requires no distribution.

PocketOnion RealTime is effectively a variant of WebOnion targeted specifically at wireless connected WindowsCE handheld devices.

PocketOnion AnyWhere

PocketOnion AnyWhere is the offline version of PocketOnion and is suitable for stand-alone WindowsCE handheld devices.

It is a WindowsCE application and is distributed by installation through a docking station download.

Reference data can be downloaded to PocketOnion on demand and captured data uploaded to the Onion core whenever the handheld device is docked.
